RIVAL USA makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, specifications, compatibility information, photographs, instructions, and other product information.
However, minor variations may occur between products, production batches, photographs, prototypes, marketing materials, and final production versions.
Product specifications, construction, hardware, finish, branding, packaging, and other details may be revised as part of ongoing product development.
Images are provided for illustrative purposes and may not represent every production revision or vehicle configuration.
Nothing in this section is intended to disclaim responsibility for material representations that cannot lawfully be disclaimed.
5. Vehicle Fitment & Compatibility
Unless specifically stated otherwise on the applicable product page, RIVAL product fitment is based on vehicles in factory configuration.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and verifying their vehicle’s year, make, model, trim, engine, drivetrain, package, and other applicable fitment requirements before ordering and installation.
Compatibility with aftermarket components or vehicle modifications is not guaranteed unless expressly stated. These may include, without limitation:
- Aftermarket suspension components
- Bumpers
- Recovery equipment
- Winches
- Exhaust systems
- Tow points
- Crossmembers
- Skid plates
- Lighting
- Body or frame modifications
- Previous collision repairs
- Products manufactured by other companies
Vehicle manufacturers may also introduce production changes within the same model year. If you are uncertain about compatibility, contact RIVAL USA before ordering or installing the product.
6. Installation
Proper installation is essential to the safe and intended use of automotive accessories.
Customers and installers are responsible for:
- Reviewing installation instructions before beginning installation
- Confirming vehicle and product compatibility
- Using appropriate tools and installation procedures
- Properly tightening and securing all fasteners
- Maintaining appropriate clearance from vehicle components
- Following applicable torque specifications
- Inspecting the installation after completion
- Periodically inspecting installed products and fasteners
- Discontinuing use if damage, abnormal contact, looseness, or another potentially unsafe condition is discovered
Professional installation is recommended where indicated by RIVAL USA or where the customer does not possess the equipment, experience, or knowledge necessary to perform the installation properly.
RIVAL USA is not responsible for damage caused by improper installation, unauthorized modification, failure to follow installation instructions, improper maintenance, incorrect vehicle application, or installation involving incompatible third-party equipment.
7. Modification of Products
Drilling, cutting, welding, grinding, bending, repainting, recoating, modifying, or otherwise altering a product may affect its performance, fitment, strength, warranty eligibility, or return eligibility.
Any modification is performed at the customer’s or installer’s own responsibility unless specifically authorized or required by RIVAL USA’s installation instructions.
Modification of a RIVAL product does not make RIVAL USA responsible for the consequences of that modification.
8. Off-Road Use & Assumption of Risk
Off-road driving, vehicle recovery, operation on uneven terrain, and other demanding vehicle activities involve inherent risks, including vehicle damage, property damage, personal injury, and death.
RIVAL products are designed to improve vehicle protection, capability, or functionality for their intended applications. They do not eliminate the risks associated with off-road driving, collisions, impacts, recovery operations, or vehicle operation.
The driver remains responsible for evaluating terrain, obstacles, vehicle capability, environmental conditions, recovery procedures, and the safe operation of the vehicle.
Installation of a RIVAL product does not make terrain, an obstacle, a recovery operation, or any other activity safe.
Users are responsible for operating their vehicles within their own abilities, the capabilities of the vehicle, and applicable laws.
9. Protective Products
Skid plates, bumpers, armor, guards, and other protective products are intended to provide an additional protective barrier between external hazards and vehicle components.
No protective product can prevent all vehicle or component damage under every impact, load, collision, terrain condition, or circumstance.
Protective products may scratch, dent, bend, deform, wear, or otherwise absorb damage during use. Such conditions may be consistent with the product performing its protective function and do not, by themselves, establish a manufacturing defect.
The presence of a protective product does not guarantee that the vehicle, its components, occupants, or surrounding property will remain undamaged during an impact, collision, off-road event, or other use.
10. Inspection & Maintenance
Automotive accessories exposed to vibration, impacts, terrain, weather, road debris, and other operating conditions require periodic inspection.
Customers are responsible for periodically inspecting installed products, mounting points, fasteners, brackets, and surrounding vehicle components.
Products showing significant damage, loose mounting hardware, abnormal contact with vehicle components, cracks, excessive deformation, or other potentially unsafe conditions should not continue to be used until properly inspected and, where necessary, repaired or replaced.
Continued use after a potentially unsafe condition becomes apparent may result in additional damage.
11. Purchases, Returns & Refunds
Purchases made directly from RIVAL USA are subject to our Purchase & Return Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions by reference.
The Purchase & Return Policy establishes applicable requirements regarding:
- Return eligibility
- Return periods
- Return authorization
- Customer-preference returns
- Shipping costs
- Restocking fees
- Incorrect products
- Suspected manufacturing defects
- Attempted installation
- Cosmetic conditions
- Freight damage
- Product design revisions
- Third-party products
Products purchased through a dealer, distributor, marketplace, installer, or other third-party seller generally must be returned through the original seller and may be subject to that seller’s policies.
12. Third-Party Products
RIVAL USA may offer products manufactured by third-party companies.
Third-party products may be subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty terms, exclusions, procedures, and available remedies.
A warranty claim involving a third-party product may require evaluation or authorization by the original manufacturer.
RIVAL USA does not control and is not responsible for changes made by third-party manufacturers to their products, specifications, warranty programs, or policies.
Nothing in this section limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Warranty Claims
A customer’s report of a product issue or suspected manufacturing defect does not automatically establish that a manufacturing defect exists or create an automatic right to a refund.
RIVAL USA may require reasonable information necessary to evaluate a claim, including:
- Photographs
- Videos
- Vehicle information
- Installation information
- Proof of purchase
- Product identification or batch information
- Description of use
- Inspection of the product
Where a manufacturing defect is confirmed, the available remedy may include repair, replacement components, product replacement, or refund where appropriate and subject to applicable warranty terms and law.
Damage caused by impact, collision, terrain contact, misuse, improper installation, unauthorized modification, improper maintenance, accidents, competition use, overloading, or use outside the product’s intended application is not considered a manufacturing defect merely because damage occurred.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXCEPT FOR ANY EXPRESS WRITTEN WARRANTY PROVIDED BY RIVAL USA FOR A PARTICULAR PRODUCT, RIVAL USA DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
NO ORAL OR WRITTEN INFORMATION, STATEMENT, OR ADVICE PROVIDED BY RIVAL USA, ITS EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, DEALERS, OR INSTALLERS CREATES A WARRANTY EXCEPT WHERE EXPRESSLY SET FORTH IN AN AUTHORIZED WRITTEN WARRANTY OR WHERE A WARRANTY ARISES BY OPERATION OF LAW AND CANNOT LAWFULLY BE DISCLAIMED.
SOME STATES OR JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS OR LIMITATIONS. IN THOSE JURISDICTIONS, THE ABOVE DISCLAIMERS APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RIVAL USA INC., ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AGENTS, CONTRACTORS, SUPPLIERS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, USE, MISUSE, REMOVAL, RETURN, OR PERFORMANCE OF A PRODUCT OR THE USE OF THIS WEBSITE.

- Removal or reinstallation labor
- Diagnostic expenses

Termination does not eliminate rights or obligations that arose before termination or provisions that by their nature should survive termination.
26. Entire Agreement
These Terms & Conditions, together with our Purchase & Return Policy, Privacy Policy, any applicable written product warranty, and other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and RIVAL USA regarding your use of the website and purchases made directly from RIVAL USA.
If a product-specific written warranty contains terms that conflict with these general Terms regarding warranty coverage, the product-specific written warranty will control with respect to that warranty.

Failure by RIVAL USA to exercise or enforce a right or provision under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
A waiver in one instance does not constitute a continuing waiver.
28. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms & Conditions and purchases made directly from RIVAL USA shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any legal action arising from or relating to these Terms or a direct purchase from RIVAL USA shall be brought in a state or federal court having jurisdiction in Harris County, Texas.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of rights that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
